Roam Mountains is a small outdoor company run by Rebecca Coles. We specialise in instruction tailored to your ambitions and bespoke guiding in the mountains. With our experience in pioneering expeditions in the Greater Ranges and the Alps, we approach UK trips with a similar unique and off-the-beaten track philosophy, as well as a wealth of knowledge to help you train and develop skills for expeditions and climbing trips around the world.

A deposit of £100 secures a place. The remainder will be due 4 weeks before the course start date.
The aim of this five day course is to progress indoor climbers, or those who second routes, towards becoming competent trad lead climbers. This will be achieved through increasing knowledge of trad climbing equipment and ropework, climbing technique coaching and trad climbing tactics including route selection and guidebook interpretation.
Local indoor climbing walls are the back-up option in the case of poor weather, but the aim would be to climb outside everyday. Sport climbing options may be used to improve leading climbing tactics and climbing technique. For courses in North Wales, it is anticipated that participants will progress onto multipitch climbing.
Each climber’s progression will differ, and rather than aim to have everyone lead climbing by the end of the week, the focus will be on appropriate progressions towards lead climbing. It is, however, anticipated that most participants will take on a lead climb during the course.

Based in the Peak District the BMC Women’s Ready to Rock courses are 1 day long and designed to help women indoor climbers make their first moves onto rock by having a fun day climbing outside as well as covering the use of some key skills and equipment.
The course is for over 18s.

I offer a support scheme for those with expedition goals or who looking to have a career in the outdoors. The scheme is through the subscription service Patreon.
