2-Day Alpine Preparation, North Wales

Over two days we’ll prepare you for your guided alpine trip. This is for those taking on routes such as the Hornli Ridge on the Matterhorn and the Mettelligi Ridge on the Eiger, Goûter route on Mont Blanc, as well as other rocky alpine routes. You may have been on an alpine trip before, tackling less technical routes, but now you want to take the next step.
We’ll link scrambling routes in North Wales covering a lot of terrain to replicate the terrain you’ll experience in the Alps. Over the two days you’ll gain the skill set to prepare you for your alpine routes and get to ask lots of questions from an instructors who are experienced alpine climbers.
Rebecca has climbed the routes many routes in the Alps including the ones mentioned above. She has extensive experience climbing 4000m peaks and is one of very few people who has climbed as many as 71 (out of the 82 list) alpine 4000ers.

Two days preparing for your guided alpine trip by linking grade 2 and 3 scrambles in North Wales.
We’ll begin with talking discussing what experience you have and identifying the skills you need to gain to have a successful alpine trip. We’ll then come up with a plan for how to achieve your aims over the next two days.
We aim for will long days covering a lot of terrain to prepare you, but there’ll be lots of opportunity to practise skills and ask questions on your upcoming trip.

You need to have good UK mountain fitness.
It is beneficial if you know how to put a climbing harness on and belay.

You will be required to have your own boots and suitable clothing for the mountains according to the kit list supplied. You’ll also need to bring your own lunch and drink.
All ropes, climbing hardware and emergency group kit is supplied. Climbing harnesses and helmets can be supplied if required.

The three days are run at a maximum of 1 instructor to 2 climbers.
